John Carter, 32, of Elmore, also known as Cole Carter, was arrested by Wetumpka Police Department officers and booked Tuesday into the Elmore County Jail. He has bonded out but the most recent charges against him include Possession of Porn Material, Obscene Material-Distribute, Electronic Solicitation and Enticing Child for Immoral Purposes (Girl).
Back in June of this year, Carter was arrested by WPD for apparently unrelated, multiple charges, including Transmitting Obscene Material to a Child by Computer, Facilitating the Travel of a Child and Sexual Abuse 2nd upgraded to a felony.
This latest charge relates to accusation made by a separate victim from the first case, officials told us.
An investigation was originally launched by Wetumpka PD earlier this year during which cell phone footage was recovered and evidence also relates to the use of Snap Chat. From there, detectives interviewed the alleged victim and found enough evidence to press charges.
Details in this most recent case are still being investigated, according to Wetumpka Police Chief Greg Benton.
Carter was a former Wetumpka Firefighter, but resigned earlier this year.
