A new Metro Petro C-Store will soon be built at the intersection of Main Street (AL Hwy. 143) and Alabama River Parkway near Goodship Missionary Baptist Church and Window World of Millbrook.

The site plan was approved Tuesday night by the Millbrook City Council. See graphics for site plan information.

The store will be approximately 7,200 square feet on a 3.61 acre site. It will include a General Store, Deli/restaurant, package store and 4,550 square foot fuel canopy.

The owner is Jatin Patel and the store’s location is zoned for B-2 (Individual Stores).

The architect is David Mullen with DLM Architect. The builder is Danny Webb with Webb Builders Inc.

“This will be a nice addition to that part of town,” City Council President Michael Gay said.

Mayor Al Kelley said the store will be very large, with multiple areas. The intersection is a high traffic area and will give commuters an easy stop for general needs, food or fuel.

City officials said the new store will be positive for that end of town, adding a new location for a convenience store and fuel. No expected date of completion was immediately available.
