Police Locate Fugitive Thanks to an Anonymous CrimeStoppers Tip

The Montgomery Police Department notified Central Alabama CrimeStoppers and advised they located fugitive, Lakeisha Hawkins.

Hawkins was taken into custody for outstanding warrants with the Montgomery Police Department, theft of property 1st degree with Autauga County Sheriff’s Office, and theft of property 3rd degree with Opelika Police Department.

On Monday, April 17, 2023, members of the Montgomery Police Department Gang Investigations Unit, were in the 500 block of Eastdale Road South, when units observed, fugitive, Lakeisha Hawkins, 35, in the area. Hawkins was taken into custody for outstanding felony warrants.

Law enforcement credited an anonymous tip provided through CrimeStoppers with helping locate Hawkins. The anonymous tipster provided information that helped law enforcement locate and ultimately place Hawkins into police custody.
