MONTGOMERY POST – A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, has claimed the life of a Troy man. Kevin B. Walker, 52, was fatally injured when the 2014 Dodge Avenger that he was driving was struck by the 2001 International tractor-trailer driven by Oleh Kulyk, 27, of Johns Island, S.C. Walker was pronounced deceased at the scene. Adrian K. Knighten, 47, of Lapine, was a passenger in the Avenger, and was taken to Baptist Medical Center South for treatment.
The crash occurred at the intersection of U.S. 82 and U.S. 231 near the 105-mile marker, approximately eight miles south of Montgomery, in Montgomery County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
