The recent storm events have created several flash flood scenarios which have precipitated sections of county roads to be closed. Currently, Elmore County has closed a portion of Taylor Rd near AL 229 and a portion of Old Rifle Range Road due to the levels of the Tallapoosa River.
Elmore County Public Works staff continue to perform damage assessments throughout the county. Assessments began as soon as the storm passed through the county early yesterday morning. Several other damaged roadway sites have been discovered through their review along with the assistance of our citizens who have reported damage they had encountered.
