OLD AUTAUGA HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Old Autauga Historical Society (OAHS) is collaborating with the John Archer Elmore SAR Chapter, ALSSAR Color Guard, ALSSAR Honor Guard, and others in a special event on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 10 AM , at Pea Ridge Cemetery, Burnsville. The event will include special services for two veterans of the American Revolutionary War, James Porter, of Dallas County, and William KIRKLAND, of NW Autauga County. The event is FREE and open to all members of OAHS, SAR, DAR, and the general public. This will be a colorful event with time-era uniforms, dress, etc. Come bring a lawn chair and help us celebrate the lives of two patriots. Lc
Directions- Take AL Hwy 14 west from Prattville towards Selma. Just after you cross over into Dallas County, turn right on CR83. Go through Burnsville. Just north of Burnsville, you will turn left on CR84, and then turn left on CR86. The cemetery is located on corner of CR84 and CR86.
