Inaugural Breakfast with Santa, Big Mo Raises Funds for Family Bridge Center in Prattville

BY AMANDA PEVEY

The inaugural breakfast with Santa and Big Moe was hosted recently by the Family Bridge Center in Prattville, Alabama. It brought over 130 people to the Central Alabama Electric Cooperative that’s located at 103 Jesse Samuel Hunt Boulevard in Prattville.

Tickets were $25 per family up to three children and $5 for each additional child. All proceeds will go to the Family Bridge Center to help the families they serve with supervised visits more affordable for families who are in need.

Breakfast included delicious biscuits that were graciously provided by the Montgomery Biscuits organization. Big Mo, from the Montgomery Biscuits, was there to capture pictures with the families. Southern Santa Clause provided the Santa who enjoyed seeing all the smiles on the children’s faces and encouraged photos.

A professional digital photo was given to each family provided by Magnolia and Birch Photography. The room was provided by the Central Alabama Electric Cooperative. Jamie Brown with Max Credit United donated money to help support the Family Bridge Center. Brown is the Vice President of Relationship Development for MAX Credit Union and on the Board of Directors for the Millbrook Chamber of Commerce.

“I want to thank those who helped make today successful. The Family Bridge Center and the families we serve will greatly benefit from the funds raised,” said Lauren Calloway, director of the Family Bridge Center.

Lynn Popwell was in charge of the fundraising event and said she was so thankful for the amazing support. “Thank you to our sponsors, and honored guests. This is the first year the Family Bridge Center hosted breakfast with Santa and Big Moe. It was such a success and we look forward to continuing this event every year and making it bigger and better,” said Popwell.
