PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Zoe! Great with Children and Other Dogs

Zoe was chosen to be our featured pet this week.

FROM PRATTVILLE AUTAUGA HUMANE SHELTER

Zoe is a 5-month-old female Black Lab mix.  She came to PAHS as an owner turn in because the other dog in her family was not doing well with Zoe.  Zoe is black with white markings; doesn’t she look adorable with her red harness?  We love the one ear up–one ear down look!  We think it gives Zoe character–not that she needs any because she is a character!  She weighs 30 pounds and will be a medium sized adult dog.  Zoe is smart!  She is already both leash trained and house trained according to her previous owner.  Zoe prances like a show pony when walking on a leash!  Her owner shared she has been an indoor dog and prefers being inside.  Zoe is absolutely great with children and other dogs.  This is such a nice dog who deserves a new loving family and a totally awesome home!  Please consider making Zoe your new best friend!

Our adoption fee is $120.00 for dogs and $50.00 for cats.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.   The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville.  Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.   We do close one day each month for staff training which will be this Thursday, April 29th.

Adoptions are currently by appointment only.  For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.

Your help in finding homes for these precious dogs and cats mean a lot to us but even more to each pet!

Sincerely,

Ara Horn
