The most unintelligent and inconvenient reasoning is beginning to take its toll on our country’s businesses.  I don’t know, but maybe that is the final goal!

Some relaxing of “lockdown” is beginning to release, however things are not changing.  For example, a lot of states’ governors have released the mask mandate, but the smothering continues.

Even though the state’s governors have declared masks not a real priority, the businesses have not accepted this.  Therefore, business is declining in large portions of the communities because of the required mask inconvenience.  I told you in my May 2020 editorial that “customers” will not frequent businesses if they are inconvenienced.

Along with the mask irritant, some businesses have not re-opened their store/restaurant for full business, while others have?  Menus are still bare, seats are not available, and waiting lines are swelling.

One of the first bits of official medical information about the COVID virus was that it definitely will not live in Ultra Violet light.  Hospitals have proven this over and over by utilizing UV light to sanitize not only instruments, but complete rooms and halls.   Yet, government is still telling people to continue wearing masks Outside in the bright sunlight – which is the number #1 source of strong UV rays in the universe!

I will be the first to confess that I love technology.  One of my favorite sayings during my full-time work was: “The computer is your friend,” however another very foolish idea at this time is to replace people with technology.  This foolishness has definitely played out in the school systems, of which I am a big part.

Children are now a year and a half behind in their studies and some even worry about graduation this year.

Also, large department stores are replacing humans with machines without the first bit of operational information.  Lots of customers will move away from such nonsensical actions. (e.g., Walmart going completely scanning to check out.  Pretty soon, no customers, as well as no employees.)

Other businesses following suit are Dry cleaners, self-storage, banks, and the list goes on.  Last, but not least is the broadening of employee shortages nationwide.

Businesses are hampered not only because of the pandemic, but employee shortages are killing businesses and causing serious decline in customer visits and funding.  American capitalistic economy will only survive with convenience, customer support, less machines and more people interaction, and adequate price.  Let’s stop the DOMINOES!
