Thursday night the Autauga County Sheriff’s Office received multiple calls from drivers on I-65, requesting assistance after a man was reportedly running in and out of traffic near the Pine Level Exit. Deputies were heading to the area when callers reported the man had been struck by a vehicle.
The scene was turned over to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency for investigation. The EAN requested information and below is a press release sent earlier this morning. The matter remains under investigation at this time.

MONTGOMERY POST – A vehicle struck a pedestrian at approximately 7:04 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, killing a Prattville man.
Noah Paul Womack, 21, was in the roadway and struck by a vehicle that left the scene. Womack was transported to a local area hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The crash occurred on Interstate 65 at the 188-mile marker, approximately seven miles north of Prattville, in Autauga County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
