Y’all.

I put this picture together for visual proof of Jack’s astonishing turn around. Otherwise no one would believe it.

Jack got sick last Friday night. He was perfectly fine all day at school, started feeling bad around dinner time, and by 11 pm was non-responsive. He was rushed to the er, intubated, and life flighted to Children’s in Birmingham. From Friday to Sunday the news got worse and worse. Sunday afternoon we were all tears and trying to figure how we were going to survive the loss of this child. His Mom & Dad were literally falling apart trying to deal with what was happening and what lie before them.

Late Sunday night some tiny things happened that were encouraging but we were afraid to hope they would turn into something. By Monday afternoon he had improved enough that they decided to take him off the vent!

Monday night his breathing was an issue and at one point they were considering putting him back on the vent, but by Tuesday morning his breathing evened out.

Tuesday afternoon he started physical therapy and could hardly sit up long enough to finish, but he pushed through. And he ate a popsicle!

By Wednesday afternoon he was sitting up in bed playing with a ball and ate a whole hamburger!

He and his Dad collect vintage toys and there just happened to be a store just a few blocks from the hospital so Wednesday afternoon Dad did a little shopping for him in celebration!

The photos are from Sunday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon! 72 hours!

HE GETS TO COME HOME TOMORROW!!!

They have not been able to figure out what caused this. There is no diagnosis!

The doctors and nurses are astonished!

It is miraculous!

Thank you to every one of you who prayed for Jack! You are part of his story!

And thanks to our Lord and Savior for hearing our prayers and restoring Jack’s life!
