New Building Update for Centerpoint Fellowship Church of Prattville

Centerpoint Fellowship Church in Prattville has been operating out of the ballroom in the Marriott hotel, parallel to the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course, for a little over a decade now.

However, their new stand-alone building, which resides on McQueen Smith Road, is starting to gain some real traction.

On February 4th, construction workers laid the concrete that will ultimately be the ground on which Centerpoint members will walk and worship some day.

For many, this moment is a dream come true.

For Centerpoint Senior Pastor, John Schmidt, it’s the opportunity of a lifetime.

“I’m just reminded that, in Ephesians 5, the Apostle Paul said that we’re supposed the make the most out of every opportunity. This construction site represents opportunity to me,” Schmidt said.

Schmidt went on to explain his excitement for some of opportunities that the building will present.

“We’re going to be able praise God, train leaders, reach out to the community all around us, and make the name of the Lord known as far and wide as we possibly can. The next time you’re driving down McQueen Smith Road, please pray for us. And pray that we make the most out of every opportunity that God gives us,” Schmidt said.

The new building will have a plethora of rooms, including office space, a lobby area, classrooms, and of course, a huge worship center in the middle.

Centerpoint held a groundbreaking ceremony back in late September, but the building is still “a few months away” from being a completed project, says Danielle Welch, Communications Director at Centerpoint.

Regardless, the project has come a long way – and Centerpoint members should be very excited about their new home to worship God.
