The Millbrook Revelers’ Annual Mardi Gras parade and festival will take place this Saturday, Feb. 6, rain or shine.

While many other parades have been canceled due to COVID-19, the Revelers made the decision to continue the tradition, but urge participants to wear masks for protection, and social distance.

With the long parade route which goes from Smokehouse Barbecue to Village Green Park, there are plenty of areas where families can gather with enough space to socially distance.

The annual festival will kick off at 9 a.m. at Village Green Park on Main Street with plenty of food vendors and shopping opportunities. There will be activities for old and young alike.

The Umbrella Stroll will begin at 10:15 a.m. at the Park with Revelers adorned in festive attire, and dancing with their umbrellas around the walking track.

Get in some great food and shopping, and be ready for the parade to roll at noon.

This year the Grand Marshals will be members of the Millbrook Fire Department. The Mardi Gras King and Queen are Keith Yarbrough and Karrie Allen.

After the parade, the festival will continue until 3 p.m., so you can make a day of fun at Village Green Park.

The Millbrook Revelers was formed in 2004 by six couples who wanted to bring a little bit of the Mardi Gras feeling to Millbrook, Alabama.  Over the years the organization has grown to over 70 couples.

The Millbrook Revelers Mardi Gras Festival and Parade is a FAMILY FRIENDLY event.  Alcohol is not permitted on the Festival grounds or on any of the parade floats.

The Elmore/Autauga News will be there for plenty of photos, videos and coverage! Put on your best parade wave and smile!
