Autauga County Bama Fans Award Over $16,000 in Scholarships to Local Students

By Tatum Northington

The Autauga County Bama Fans (ACBF) group is an official chapter of the University of Alabama’s National Alumni Association. They are housed in Prattville and welcome all Alabama Fans and Alumni to their events. The group’s purpose is to bring Alabama fans together for networking, events, fellowship, and to raise funds for scholarships and the community. In the past they have participated in their own events while also participating in local community events such as canned food drives, the YMCA’s Sinkapalooza for Coach a Child Fund, and more.

The main motivation of the Autauga County Bama Fans is to give scholarships to local students attending the University of Alabama. They maintain seven current scholarship endowments and in March 2024 started a new endowment through a local family, totaling named scholarships to seven. All events hosted raise funds for scholarships.

This year they hosted their annual Scholarship Banquet on April 23 and awarded over $16,000 in scholarships to local Autauga County Students. The event was a great success and was sponsored and hosted by Buckner and Cook, LLC., Protective Services, and Hampton Inn & Suites.
