Heather’s Homemade Chili

Ingredients:

  • 4 Pounds Ground Beef
  • Purple Onion
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 1- 8 ounce cans of black beans
  • 1- 8 ounce cans of kidney beans
  • 2 pouches of Chili Powder
  • 1 Tbs Garlic Salt
  • 1- 12 ounce can of tomato Paste
  • 1- 12 ounce can of tomatoes Diced
  • 2 cups water

Cook in a large pot:

Ground Beef, onions, bell peppers and garlic salt

When fully cooked add:

1- 8 ounce cans of black beans
1- 8 ounce cans of kidney beans
2 pouches of Chili Powder
1- 12 ounce can of tomato Paste
1- 12 ounce can of tomatoes Diced
2 cups water

Simmer on low for 2 hours.


Chili Topping Options:

Cheese, sour cream, cracker, green onions, Frito chips, cornbread and ranch.

I like to make a chili toppings bar when I cook chili. The entire family loves it and there’s always leftovers for days!
