President, Old Autauga Historical Society (OAHS)
Old Autauga Historical Society (OAHS) will start back working on or about Feb. 1, 2021, at the old Mulberry Schoolhouse at Mallards Chapel. Our goal for 2021 is to replace the interior floor. We have some prep work to do before materials are delivered for the floor project.
We also want to work on outside siding and reopening windows to original size with new custom wood shutters.
Some may also work on overgrowth of the cemetery behind schoolhouse. We WELCOME any volunteers who want to help. We will be a small number so social distancing will be a lot easier to maintain.
We usually only work a couple of days a week and rarely work longer than 6 hours at a time. More details to follow soon. Always remember- Can’t couldn’t ever do anything. Dues for membership are just $10 per year.
