Wetumpka Child Dies After Ceasarville Road Crash; Investigation Continues

MONTGOMERY POST – A single-vehicle crash at approximately 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, has claimed the life of a Wetumpka child. The child, 4, of Wetumpka, was killed when the 1998 Ford Explorer in which it was a passenger, left the roadway and overturned multiple times. The child, who was not properly restrained, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Ford was not injured during the crash. The crash occurred on Ceasarville Road near Flatwood Road, approximately 3.2 miles south of Holtville. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
