MONTGOMERY POST – A single vehicle crash was reported at approximately 6:58 a.m. on Dec. 28. A 2014 Dodge Avenger left the roadway and overturned multiple times before landing upside down in a creek. ALEA Troopers, ALEA Aviation and first responders were unable to locate the driver of the Dodge after an extensive search of the area. The crash occurred on Interstate 85 southbound, at the 12 mile marker, approximately one mile east of Montgomery. The preliminary investigation indicates that the Dodge was reported stolen through Columbus, Ga. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
