STANHOPE ELMORE HIGH SCHOOL
This year the Stanhope Elmore High School Jr Civitan led its annual campus-wide food drive for the WELCOME Center Food Pantry of Millbrook.
The organization was able to donate 2,448 items to the less fortunate in our community. A special shout out to Coach Stewart’s 1st block and the 1st block library and office aides for collecting over half of the items! Breakfast was sponsored by Jr Civitan in the morning for the winning classes!
About the WELCOME Center – Who We Are
Our Mission
The West Elmore Christian Outreach Ministry Extension (WELCOME) is a non-profit corporation organized to aid the needy in West Elmore County, Alabama. The ministry provides food and encouragement to qualified persons. We provide a weekly food distribution and counseling to our clients. We also provide a monthly food drop of fresh produce, dairy and other food items. We are an agency of the Montgomery Area Food Bank and have adopted their rules and regulations regarding eligibility for our programs.
