ELMORE/AUTAUGA NEWS

River Region Pregnancy Center, of Prattville, is hoping to raise at least $50,000 to fund their valuable services to those in need in the area with a virtual “Walk for Life” event Nov. 14.

So far the event has raised $3,477.50, but there is still time to set up teams and participate.

To sign up, visit https://secure.ministrysync.com/ministrysync/event/website/Participate/Participate.php?eid=20687

The virtual walk will be Saturday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to Noon.

According to Executive Director Carla Wilemon The Walk for Life is a simple way for people of all ages to get involved by actively demonstrating support for the value of human life – and a desire to make a difference in the lives of women, men, and babies in our community. By raising funds and walking yourself or sponsoring another walker for the Walk for Life, you are directly helping the ministry of River Region Pregnancy Center advance its mission to cultivate a community that values life through the love of Christ.

Due to health concerns the Center is asking individual walkers and teams to gather in your smaller groups, socially distanced and walk your favorite neighborhood, walking track, or Prattville’s own “creek walk.” You can choose the time and location and proudly display your support for “Life in the City.” Wilemone said there is no better way to show you are Pro-Life than to be part of this event and challenge your friends and neighbors to financially support the work of River Region Pregnancy Center.
