Our precious pet this week is a dog named Precious! She is just a super dog.
Precious is a 3-year-old female Pit Bull who has already been spayed. She has a gorgeous gray (or blue) coat with just a bit of white markings. Precious weighs 58 pounds so she is a big gal! This beautiful dog is well behaved when on a leash and she is house trained. Precious is a sweet girl who would be fine in a home with older children. She gets along well with bigger dogs but should not be in a home with smaller dogs or cats. Precious is friendly and will greet you with a great big wagging tail of happiness. We are going to require that there be an above ground fence that is secure at her new home. A home check will be required before Precious is adopted.
Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120 and cat/kitten adoption fees are $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville and our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm. We do close one day each month for staff development – that date will be chosen later in the month.
