The Alabama State University Department of Public Safety has officially notified CrimeStoppers that warrants have been secured charging a 20-year-old with the Murder of missing student Adam Dowdell Jr.

CrimeStoppers has been informed that Chicago resident Ivry Hall has been formally charged with Murder. He was also a student at ASU. Hall turned himself over to authorities on Friday, September 18, 2020.

Adam Dowdell Jr.’s body was located near the old BTW High School in the 800 block of Hutchinson Street on Monday, September 14, 2020.  The body was transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science for an autopsy.  Evidence revealed Dowdell had been fatally shot.

Circumstances surrounding the investigation are currently not available.  Authorities advise that this is still an ongoing investigation and if you have any information related to this case to call CrimeStoppers. Tips can be given anonymously.
