PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Darlene! Hard Start in Life, Needs a New Chance

FROM PRATTVILLE AUTAUGA HUMANE SHELTER

Our special featured pet this week is Darlene.  She has had a hard start in life and now needs a chance in her own home to finish building up her trust completely.

Darlene is a 4-month-old, female, solid black kitten.  Darlene came in as a semi-feral kitten.  She has been socialized, but is still a little shy.  She plays with other kittens and is quite loving.  We believe a quite home would be best for her along with lots of love and patience to allow her to come out of her shell once she has adjusted to her new surroundings.  Please don’t pass this beauty up.

Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120 and cat/kitten adoption fees are $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville and our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.  We do close one day each month for staff development – that date this month will be on Thursday, the 24th.  For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.

Thank you so much for helping us locate homes for these great pets.

Sincerely,

Ara Horn
