HSEC Will Benefit from September Community Bag Program at Wetumpka Winn Dixie

Humane Society of Elmore County News

HUGE THANKS to all of our Tail’s End Thrift Store VOLUNTEERS who went above and beyond in getting ready and successfully executing our hugely successful Summer Clothing Bag Sale on Saturday.  A lot of hard work goes into getting ready for these sales. Preparations for the next one starts all over again to keep ahead of the huge volume of clothing and items donated every week. Our Thrift Store’s success is of vital importance to our Shelter as our biggest fund-raising entity and we are immensely grateful to our Volunteers who give so selflessly of their time to make it such a success.

Our Tail’s End Thrift Store Volunteer Crew would love to have even more Volunteers! If you might have a few hours each week to give – just send an email to hselco@bellsouth.net and we will put you in touch with the Volunteer Coordinator to get you on board as part of our Thrift Store Volunteer family!

During the month of September, the Humane Society of Elmore County will benefit as a Winn-Dixie Community Bag Program Beneficiary. The Winn-Dixie Community Bag Program is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.

Our Shelter was selected as a beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Winn-Dixie, 5326 US Hwy 231 S, Wetumpka and we will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased during September (unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag).

We are thrilled to again partner with our local Wetumpka Winn-Dixie and greatly appreciate that they selected our Shelter to benefit from their Shoppers doing their part to help our environment. If you want more information on the Community Bag Program, visit https://seg.bags4mycause.com
