PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Pumpkin! The Total Package: Beautiful, Sweet and Never Meets a Stranger

FROM PRATTVILLE AUTAUGA HUMANE SHELTER

Our featured pet this week is Pumpkin.  She is a favorite among the shelter staff.

Pumpkin is an one-year-old female Yellow Lab mix who must be spayed before she is adopted.  She came to PAHS when animal control brought her in from a neighborhood; and her owner never came to reclaim her.  Pumpkin is very light tan, some say yellow, and she is a gorgeous girl!  She weighs 29 pounds and is considered to be a medium sized adult dog.

Pumpkin is an awesome girl!  She has the most fun playing with other dogs at the shelter so we know she would be fine in a home with other dogs.  Pumpkin is quite frisky and active but not overly so.  After a good run in the yard she settles down and is well behaved.  Our sweet Pumpkin would be great with children; she just loves people period!  We adore this sweet dog and we know she will find a home super quickly.

If you are interested in adopting a fantastic dog with the potential to be the best family dog ever–come and meet our Pumpkin.  She is the total package–beautiful, sweet as sugar, and she never meets a stranger!

Our adoption fee for dogs is $120.00 and is $50.00 for cats.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.   The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.  The shelter will be closed on Labor Day.  For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.

Thank you so much for your help in finding homes for the wonderful pets.
