PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Maude! Loves People and to Have Tummy Scratches

Our featured pet this week is a kitty named Maude.  She was such a great mom to her kittens and is now a friendly and loving cat after her fostering.

Maude is a spayed, 2-year old gray and white tabby with big green eyes.  While in foster care with her kittens, she really put on much-needed weight and came out of her shell.  She loves people, and to be scratched on her tummy, behind her ears and on her chin.  She took amazing care of her kittens while she was on the street for the first three weeks of their lives.  While in foster, she constantly cleaned, fed, and doted on them.  Maude is a lovely, chatty, petite cat who would adjust quickly to a new home and other cats and older kids. Meet Maude at the shelter today!

Our adoption fee for dogs is $120.00 and is $50.00 for cats.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.   The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.  We do usually close one day each month for staff development.  That date will be chosen later this month.   For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email, or visit our website at

Thank you for everything you do for these pets in passing this info on to the public.
