If you saw some police activity in front of the Millbrook Waffle House earlier this morning, know that everyone is OK, after a vehicle failed to stop in a parking place, and broke through a window.

Diners in the new Millbrook Waffle House had a scare just before 11 a.m. when the vehicle caused minor damage to the building and bumped an occupied booth.

Millbrook Police and Millbrook Fire Department personnel were called to the scene.

Robin Hooper Davis, of Millbrook, was dining with her husband William when the incident occurred.

“We were sitting in the Waffle House minding our own business, and this young guy’s car comes through the store window,” Robin told the EAN. “No one was injured in the building, just a little shaken up. I saw it happening. I thought that the driver might want to be stopping that car as it rolled into the building.”

The Williams couple was sitting next to the booth that was bumped.

Robin said the young man who was driving the vehicle was very polite and apologetic, and she is extremely glad there were no serious injuries.

No further information was immediately available.
