Victory Baptist Shows Off Seniors

Special to Elmore Autauga News

The grown-ups embarked on a covert mission. And it came as a surprise to the young-uns.

The coronavirus has certainly generated creativity in the minds of many and our schools have been the most creative of all. At Victory Baptist School the adults had posters made of the graduating seniors. “We snuck out and put one in their yard one night so they would have a surprise the next day. Then we put them in the front of the school on Highway 14 so the public could see them,” school staff member Ann Boullion said. “I know the kids were excited about it.”

The last six weeks has been an online learning effort for the students. Victory students finished the school year last week and the school is planning a graduation ceremony for May 22, following all COVID-19 safety protocols.

Victory Baptist School had 161 students this past school year, K-12.
