LT. Ella Roberts

Public Information Officer / Administration Commander

Wetumpka Police Department

Wetumpka Police Department- EFFECTIVELY IMMEDIATELY: In response to the latest Federal and State Guidelines, The Wetumpka Police Department will be implementing a temporary plan of action with new safety measures to limit contact between its employees and the public, by suspending access to the Police Department. Our goal is to help slow the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), and the health and safety of our employees and the public.

The new measure will remain in effect until further notice, but may be amended at a later date.

If for any reason you are needing police services, you are instructed to contact our communication division at 334-567-5321 for all non- emergency calls. If you have an emergency dial 911. The Wetumpka Police Department will determine if some calls for service can be handled over the phone.

All reports for NON-EMERGENCY CALLS such as property damage, civil matters, thefts from the home or auto burglaries will now be taken VIA phone. After you have called the communications division your information will be taken and an officer will make contact back with you, a report will be taken at that time. If you are requesting any documents, accident reports ect. we are now able to take payment by phone, and they will be mailed, or e-mailed to you.

The Wetumpka Police Department appreciates the patience and understanding during this difficult time for us all.
