FROM RACHEL TEARS

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ALABAMA ANIMAL ALLICANCE SPAY/NEUTER CLINIC

Montgomery, AL – The Alabama Animal Alliance Spay/Neuter Clinic announces Esther’s Fund. This is a new grant that allows low-income pet owners who are on Medicaid or a similar income-based government assistance program to have their pets spayed or neutered for $10. The $10 cost covers the surgery, anesthesia, pain management medications that will be administered both during and after the procedure, an antibiotic injection, and follow up check. Proof of eligibility is required. All pets must receive a rabies vaccination.  If the pet owner does not have a current vaccination record, rabies vaccines are $12.

The Alabama Animal Alliance Spay/Neuter Clinic is Alabama’s first high-quality, high volume, affordable spay/neuter clinic.  We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the number of unwanted animals by providing affordable spay/neuter surgeries for dogs and cats.  Since opening in October 2007, we have successfully altered more than 90,000 animals to proactively fight the area’s dire pet overpopulation problem.  The Spay/Neuter Clinic’s veterinarians are Drs. Cathrine Byars and Angela Tolbert; licensed veterinarians with more than 40 years of combined experience.  For more information call 334-239-7387 or visit www.alabamaspayneuter.com.
