Tim Love Announces Candidacy to run for Millbrook Mayor; Election is in August 2020

SUBMITTED BY TIM LOVE CAMPAIGN

The City of Millbrook hasn’t had a challenger for the mayor’s office in 16 years. You have to go all the way back to 2004 to find the last opponent. On Thursday night, Tim Love in a video on his social media page, (FB: Tim Love for Millbrook Mayor 2020) announced to his supporters he is officially a 2020 candidate for Millbrook mayor.  Mr. Love’s campaign issued the following press release to the public today.

I am humbled and excited to announce that I am officially declaring myself a candidate for the office of mayor for the City of Millbrook. I have given much thought, prayer, and discussion to this decision over the last 2 years. In the end there were a few factors that I just couldn’t turn away from knowing I had the ability to make them better.

I am an avid supporter of term limits for all elected officials. I believe our founding fathers never intended for our election process to become a career or lifelong journey for a select few. After 24 years I believe the time has come for Millbrook to elect a new mayor. That new leadership can give Millbrook a new vision and direction.

I have almost 30 years of business management experience all across the southeast. The last 20 have been spent right here in and around the City of Millbrook. I have served many Millbrook customers over the years. I have also formed many relationships during my 18 years working with Millbrook’s youth.  From operating half million-dollar branches to $3 million stores to $40 million dollar markets, I have the business pedigree to enhance the mayor’s office. I have knowledge and application of such business elements as planning, developing, community relations, budget balancing, and human resources. A person who has operated multimillion-dollar operations in many diverse markets, gives our city more than just a home-grown option to elect. Someone who has zero ties to any group or good ole boy system that may exists. Someone who is not a politician and vows not to make this a career.

I have a vision that goes beyond the progressive populous growth and conservative commerce growth we currently operate under. A vision that puts a moderate growth model in place across the board. To balance commerce, entertainment, and industry with the progressive population growth we have had.  This will ensure we build revenues that can sustain more populous growth of 1000 roof tops and 400-500 new children. These revenues are needed to ensure we can sustain the stress the populous growth puts on our outdated infrastructure. As well as ensure Millbrook can help with the education needs that are surely to arise with this type of influx. Simply put we need more business and dining options as well as entertainment values to drive revenue. While exploring industry options that has benefited so many small towns and has helped them grow, strengthen, and prosper.

Then there is the crime, drugs, lack of diversity, and the overall negative opinion of many voters of our government leaders. Ladies and gentlemen the 2020 election will be the biggest and perhaps the most important election in Millbrook’s history. The voters can re-elect the incumbent and give him 28 years as a politician. Or the voters can elect a new mayor, with a new vision, and a new direction for Millbrook. I’m asking the voters on August 25 to elect Tim Love as your new mayor. Together we can move Millbrook away from the same ole thing it has had for 24 years. Together we can help grow, strengthen, and diversify our beloved city. Let’s bring some LOVE to the mayor’s office. Thank you for your support.
