FROM THE ELMORE COUNTY COMMISSION
Commissioner Bart Mercer was recently reappointed to the National Association of County (NACo) Community, Economic and Workforce Development Steering Committee for his third straight term. On this Steering Committee, Commissioner Mercer plays a vital role in shaping and influencing federal policy that has impact on Elmore County and our state.
Commissioner Mercer’s background as a business owner and as a past member of our county’s Economic Development Authority (ECEDA) makes him a prime candidate for this role.
“I am honored to be able to continue to represent Elmore County and Alabama on this Steering Committee. I look forward to the opportunity to serve and to share ideas that will have a positive benefit to our county, state and nation,” stated Commissioner Mercer.
