The second Tunes on the Green FREE concert Thursday evening featured a rowdy, dancing crowd, plenty of young people, giveaways, and the talents of Bekky and Doyle Campbell. Their rendition of “Up Town Funk” was a big hit to start off the night.

It was a warm evening, but it didn’t stop the dancing feet or the singing along to a variety of music from the talented, local duo.

Winn Dixie is a proud sponsor of the Tunes on the Green concert series and had a wheel to spin to win a various assortment of prizes.

The Kid Zone was active, as parents watched them play. Families sat on blankets, some in lawn chairs, but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

This event is put on by the City of Millbrook, the Millbrook Cultural Arts and Special Events Department and the Parks and Recreation Department.

Special thanks to the Millbrook Police officers who stayed until the last person left for the evening.

Front Porch Grill and Kona Ice food trucks provided plenty of refreshment and food.

You have one more chance to take part in this free concert series this year. It is Oct. 24, 6-8 p.m. featuring Charlie C & the Cuzamatics. This will also be the Halloween concert! There will be a pet costume parade and contest.
