Home is where the wine is, and in Millbrook that’s on Wisteria Place, 81 Wisteria PL in Millbrook, where owners Lane and Ashely Minor are taking life one sip at a time.

The Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce kept everyone on cloud-wine with a ribbon cutting for the new business in Millbrook, Cask & Vine.

“We wanted to invest in Millbrook because this is our home. This is where I met my wife, and we also noticed that there really isn’t a more mature audience themed entertainment place to go and spend time and relax after work, and meet friends,” Lane said.

In attendance was Millbrook Mayor Al Kelley, who stated he’s very excited about both of their new locations coming to Millbrook, and commended President and CEO of the Millbrook Chamber of Commerce, Brenda Dennis in her work with the Chamber and their ambassador program.

“I want to thank Lane and Ashely for having the faith in Millbrook to open this establishment, I know it’s going to be great,” Kelley said.

The Minors are also proud business owners of the The Social at Lake Marin at the Anchor Bay Marina. The Social is actually located in Eclectic and seats 240 people. The Minors also own The Bottom Bar and Grill off of County Road four in Autauga County, where Lane stated that they also have live music and can cater to special events.

Lane also confirmed that they will be opening Waffle and Company in less than 60 days. Waffle and Company will be a breakfast and brunch restaurant also coming to Millbrook.

“I’m most excited about the opportunity to have an atmosphere of young and business professionals to come and meet, and conversate without the music drowning everything else out. I’m not much of a wine drinker but we have an extensive selection, and we do offer charcuterie boards as well as whiskey and bourbons,” Lane said.

Cask & Vine offers three different charcuterie boards, starting with a meat and cheese, a sweets board and a veggie board. While they have an extensive selection of wines from robust reds, dry whites to wines on the sweeter side, they also offer over 75 different whiskey and bourbons with the selection growing by the week, Lane confirmed.

For the beer and other drinkers, Cask & Vine offers a full bar to really individualize the experience.

Also in attendance was Millbrook city council president Michael Gay, Elmore County Commissioner Henry Hines, Millbrook Cultural Arts Director Danae Morgan, members of the community as well as several of the Chamber board members and ambassadors filled the room to uncork and unwind at Cask & Vine.
