The Holtville High School PTO wanted to do something fun for the town and came up with an inaugural Mardi Gras parade.
The small community had BIG fun Saturday as around 20 floats met up at the high school to get ready for the parade.
Heather Knight is an organizer for the event, and said she was hoping for a decent turnout in the first year. She was not disappointed, and the crowd was enthusiastic. She hopes the event will continue to grow and draw more people.
The Elmore Autauga News was proud to take part, taking photos and throwing beads and goodies from our golf cart. It was a great time, indeed.
Knight said she is very appreciative to all who helped plan, participate and make the day flow easily.
“I really appreciate everyone that took part and a big thank you to the Holtville Fire Department!” she said.
