Cheech is a 3-year-old male Shepherd mix who must be neutered before he is adopted. He came to the shelter as a stray and his owner never came to reclaim him. Cheech is tan with gorgeous white markings. This handsome fellow weighs 74 pounds so he is a large dog. Cheech is a very nice dog who is super sweet. In fact, our staff says he thinks he is a gigantic lap dog! Cheech is calm and well behaved. He is very well mannered when walking on a leash. Cheech is great with other dogs and children. We would NOT recommend he be adopted to a home with cats. If you would like to have a wonderful new friend and family member–look no more! Cheech is ready and waiting for the chance to prove to you what a devoted companion he will be.
Our adoption fee is $120.00 for dogs and $50.00 for cats. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative. The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville. Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday
from 11 am until 4 pm. We do close one day each month for staff training—that day in April will be chosen later.
