The Prattville High School Flag Football program has its first ever college signee. Mady-Cate Lindsey played linebacker and tight end for the Lions in their two seasons of existence, which included a trip to the Class 7A Final Four in 2023 and the Class 7A quarterfinals in 2024.

“I’m proud to be selected as the first Prattville High School Flag Football signee to compete at the next level,” said Lindsey. “My coaches and teammates have been such an inspiration to me. I’m thankful for the opportunity before me, I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for them. This is just the beginning of this new and growing sport. I hope that I inspire other young girls to follow in my footsteps.”

Lindsey made a big impact on her teammates and coaches during her two seasons playing for the Lions. “Mady-Cate has been the heart and soul of the Prattville Lions Flag Football team, leading with passion and inspiring everyone around her,” said former Prattville Flag Football Defensive Coordinator Jason Fisher.

Lindsey will be a part of the first ever women’s flag football team at Snead State Community College. “I chose Snead State because they made me feel a part of the Parson family from the beginning. The coach wasn’t recruiting another number, but a player, a person. My experience felt very personalized, and that I actually mattered to him. I couldn’t have asked for a better recruiting experience. Thank you, Snead State, for this wonderful opportunity!”

Snead State will compete in the Alabama Community College Conference. According to the Snead State website, the ACCC will feature the largest flag football conference in the NJCAA.
