Local businesses across Elmore and Autauga counties rally to support Child Abuse Prevention Month

Butterfly Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center

Businesses across Elmore and Autauga counties are joining forces this April to support Butterfly Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center and help shine a light on Child Abuse Prevention Month. Each year, April serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting children, strengthening families, and building communities where every child feels safe. For Butterfly Bridge, these partnerships not only raise essential funds but also help spark conversations that bring awareness to the realities of child abuse and the services available to children in crisis.

In Autauga County, several businesses have committed to month‑long or special‑event give‑backs. Fountain City Nutrition is donating $1 from every Blue Pinwheel Loaded Tea sold all month, and Adrienne’s Bar is contributing $1 from every blue drink special throughout April. Candy Corner celebrated its 10‑year anniversary on April 4th by donating 10% of sales. Soda Jerk supported Butterfly Bridge from April 6–12 with a percentage of sales, and Blended Bubbles donated $1 from every Blue Ribbon Fizz sold through April 11th. Joey’s Car Wash followed with a special event on April 12th, raising more than $1,000 through their $5 hotdog‑and‑drink combo. Dutch Bros will donate $1 from every drink sold on April 18th, and Cloud 9 Aviation is contributing 5% of all fuel sales throughout April. On April 16th, the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce will host Sunshine & Pixie Dust for a painting fundraiser, with spots still available for community members who want to participate.

Elmore County businesses are showing the same level of commitment. Hillwood Nutrition is donating $1 from every Blue Ribbon Punch sold all month long. Smokehouse BBQ Pitt will host its give‑back on April 17th, followed by Restoration Coffee on April 21st. Coaches Corner will participate on April 22nd, Pro Bowl from April 20–26, and The Fizz will close out the month with its event on April 30th.

Awareness efforts extend beyond food and beverage locations as well. Tees by Taylor in Prattville and TCH Designs in Wetumpka are selling Child Abuse Prevention Month shirts, with a portion of proceeds benefiting Butterfly Bridge. The agency is also offering Child Abuse Prevention Month yard signs for $20 that can be seen on our Facebook pages with information about how to purchase and pick up. Special thanks go to Pest Pro, Long Lewis Prattville, and Dirt Nerd for purchasing signs and helping spread awareness throughout the community. Last week, First Community Bank of Wetumpka helped spark conversations by encouraging staff to wear blue and contribute to Butterfly Bridge, creating a visible show of support for Child Abuse Prevention Month. And on April 8th, Farmers Feed Service in Wetumpka invited the agency to join the Max Round Table broadcast during their on‑site event, giving Butterfly Bridge a platform that reached listeners across multiple states. This opportunity helped amplify the message of Child Abuse Prevention Month and highlight the vital services the organization provides to children and families.

Butterfly Bridge expressed deep gratitude for the businesses stepping forward this month. Their support not only strengthens the agency’s mission but also reinforces the message that protecting children is a shared responsibility across the community.

And it’s not too late for others to join in. Butterfly Bridge welcomes additional give‑back events throughout April and encourages any business interested in participating to reach out. If you would like to schedule a give‑back or have questions about how to get involved, contact Assistant Director Emily Hutcheson at [email protected].

Together, Elmore and Autauga counties are showing what it looks like when a community stands united for its children.
