Mayor’s Youth Fish Fest, Senior Fish Fest coming to Pratt Pond; see Registration information

YOUTH FISH FEST

Grab your fishing pole, tackle, and bait for the Mayor’s Youth Fish Fest at Pratt Park Pond. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and each use only one pole.  The Parks and Recreation Department has a limited number of fishing poles that are available to borrow during the fish fest but MUST be returned afterwards.

After the event the pond will be closed to the public until May 21, at 3 pm until after the Senior Adult Fish Fest is over.

Then the pond will be opened to the public. To fish at the pond, you must have a fishing licenses if you are ages 16 – 65 years old.

Rules for Mayor’s Fish Fest:

Ages 4- 15 years old (all participants must be accompanied by an adult)

3 Fish limit per child

You must provide your own fishing pole, tackle and bait.

SENIOR FISH FEST

Parks and Recreation Senior Fish Fest Class

Bring your own lawn chair, fishing equipment, bait, hat, umbrella, sunblock and sunglasses. It’s a nice way to spend a day sitting by the pond fishing, and possibly bring home supper. No fishing license needed if you are 65 and up. (Residents 64 and younger are required to have a fishing license unless they are fishing in the county of their residence with a pole having no reel.)
