From Tracy A. Wright
Elmore County STEM Coordinator
The Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering is proud to partner with the Elmore Public Schools system to deliver world-class outreach and hands-on STEM opportunities for students in the district. The Alabama Legislation that created ASCTE mandates that the school assists teachers, administrators, and superintendents across the state in replicating cyber technology and engineering studies within their own schools.
We are honored to have two of Elmore County’s very own students attending classes at the ASCTE this Fall. In addition, Superintendent Richard Dennis and STEM Coordinator, Tracy Wright, visited the ASCTE campus.
While there, they were able to speak with the two enrolled students from Elmore County.
Mr. Dennis and Mr. Wright discussed future plans with our ongoing partnership, as well to show support for their students.
About ASCTE:
The Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering (ASCTE) is the nation’s only high school focused on the integration of cyber technology and engineering into all academic disciplines and recognizes the values of Honor, Kindness, Tenacity, Integrity, and Joy as core values for the Sentinel community.
ASCTE is a public, commuter and residential magnet high school serving students throughout the State of Alabama. Tuition is free.
ASCTE looks for students who embrace challenges, who ask questions, and who are not afraid to try new things. The ASCTE student community is composed of some of the most promising students in Alabama— the professional dispositions developed while on campus will carry them forward, prepared for the world.
They also house the students for free.
