Lifelong Autauga County resident Kyle Shirley is running to represent the people of his home county as District Judge. Kyle is an attorney in Prattville with McDowell, Faulk & Shirley, LLC. His practice covers a broad area, including civil, criminal, real estate, probate, and other forms of law. He also serves as County Attorney for the Autauga County Commission, Town Attorney for the Town of Autaugaville, and attorney for the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Kyle Shirley’s experience trying cases and working with clients firsthand in the District Court sets him apart and makes him the right choice for District Judge. “I have spent the last decade-plus practicing law in the District Court of Autauga County,” Shirley says, “and I have a track record of working to uphold the law, secure our freedom and liberty, and protect our children and families.”

Kyle Shirley is the only candidate for Autauga County District Judge who has been appointed by Judge Joy Pace Booth, Judge Ben Fuller, Judge Bill Lewis, and Judge Sibley Reynolds as a Guardian ad Litem to advocate for the best interests of children, making him uniquely qualified to preside over juvenile cases in District Court. “There is nothing more serious than protecting the well-being of our children,” he stated.

Kyle Shirley’s commitment to following the law and not being an activist, out-of-control judge comes from the traditional values instilled in him by his family. He is the son of Connie Crosby Shirley, a longtime Autauga County educator, and Keith Shirley, who retired from International Paper. Over the years, he has had extensive community service involvement, starting as a student in Autauga County schools and now serving as Autauga County Bar Association President, a member of the YMCA Board of Managers, Past President for the Smith Center, and multiple other charitable organizations.

Kyle is married to Stephanie Galloway Shirley, an attorney for the State of Alabama. The couple met on their first day of class at Jones School of Law. For Kyle and Stephanie, there was no question about where they wanted to live and raise their family when they got married. The Shirleys are the parents of Hadley Grace (9) and Sawyer (5). The Shirleys are members of Centerpoint Fellowship Church, where Stephanie serves in the children’s ministry, and Kyle leads the Guest Services Team. The family leads a weekly Connect Group in their home.

Kyle Shirley’s commitment to following Christ daily, being a dedicated husband and father, being faithful to the law, and seeking justice will guide him in the courtroom. “I will look at every child that comes through the courtroom as if they are my own and base my rulings on a moral, conservative application of the law as written and on how I want my children to be treated,” he said recently on the campaign trail.

When asked why voters should choose him in the March 5th Republican Primary, Kyle Shirley didn’t hesitate to respond honestly and sincerely. “I am committed to serving the people of Autauga County by following the law and pursuing justice. Our community knows me, and they know they can trust my commitment to doing what I say. Being a judge isn’t just a job for me; it’s an extension of my passion for serving and my gratefulness to the community that has given me and my family so much. Powerful politicians haven’t handpicked me, and that’s okay because I’m not running to serve the interests of politicians. I am running to be the people’s choice for District Judge because our community deserves a judge like them.”

Kyle Shirley is the right choice for District Judge as his service will continue his commitment to making our community a better place to live, work, worship, and raise our families.
