On Wednesday, Airport Road Intermediate School students had an opportunity to see a live performance by the Man vs Impossible performer Mark Kirsch. This amazing performer was able to pull a 12-ton bus at a good distance to show the students that anything is possible. Over 500 students were in attendance including teachers, staff and administrators.
The students heard Kirsch’s motivational speech in the gym first. He spoke about always following your dreams, and your goals are always possible, never impossible. After the speech was done, students and staff were able to go outside. The Man vs Impossible performer Kirsch pulled a 12-ton empty bus, and also pulled the same bus filled with students.
Mark Kirsch has been performing since 2008. He traveled 3,500 miles from Washington to Maxwell AFB to perform at local schools and promote the upcoming 2024 Beyond the Horizon Air and Space Show at Maxwell AFB in April. He has pulled C17s, C130s, KC135s, fire trucks, school buses, and can pull just about anything at any time.
“We are excited to bring Man vs Impossible to the local area to not only send a message of encouragement and inspiration but also to promote the 2024 Beyond the Horizon Air and Space Show at Maxwell AFB,” said Tanya Rhoden, DAFC Community Programs Specialist for 42d Force Support Squadron, Maxwell AFB. “Through our exhibitions, performers and demonstrations, we hope to inspire the next generation to pick up the torch and lead us, lead our military, to what lays beyond the horizon and into the future.”
The 2024 Beyond the Horizon Air and Space Show at Maxwell AFB will be held on April 6th and 7th in Montgomery, Alabama. This is a FREE admission and FREE Parking event. They will feature US Navy Blue Angels, STEM Expo, Flying Demonstrations, Static Aircraft, and Activities for the whole family. Gates will open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days.
