About 3 p.m. today, the Millbrook Police received a report of multiple shots fired in the area of Hwy.14 and Old Prattville Road. Officers arrived and found two vehicles that had been struck by gunfire. One person was hit by gunfire and was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Millbrook Police Chief P.K. Johnson.
Two people have been detained at this time, as detectives are working to sort out the incident.
Johnson said an unknown number of shots were fired, causing a huge backup of traffic, as the crime scene was located along Hwy. 14.
“We are still trying to sort this out,” Johnson said. “At this time, we do not believe anyone involved is from our area, but it is still very early in the investigation. I will update you as soon as we have more information.”
