Participants will be able to take part in a series of lifestyle workshops.
(MONTGOMERY, AL – September 20, 2023) The Successful Living Center will host their Caring and Sharing Workshop on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Crump Senior Center at 1750 Cong W L Dickson Dr., Montgomery, AL 36109.
There will be workshops on transition and moving, health and nutrition, cooking demonstrations and the importance of sleep and rest.
The Successful Living Center is an adult day care center that provides services to elderly adults with early to moderate Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Their goal is to provide flexible daycare and respite services that allow families to sustain employment or manage other responsibilities more freely.
“We provide daily services and activities, and programs are individually structured to accommodate the participants’ individual interests, hobbies and abilities,” said Veronica McKenzie, executive director of the Successful Living Center.
The structured adult daycare provides a viable alternative to full-time assisted living or nursing home care.
