American Legion Post 133 held their yearly Memorial Service for 9/11.

Among those in attendance were community members and leaders of post 133, Councilman Michael Gay, Mayor Al Kelley, Chief of Police P.K Johnson and Fire Chief Larry Brown.

The event opened in prayer, followed by the pledge and a word of gratitude and remembrance from our speakers.

Today marks the 22nd anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, a day that forever changed the course of history. On this solemn occasion, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost, the countless heroes who emerged, and the enduring impact that 9/11 has had on our world. As we remember this tragic day, we also reflect on the resilience and unity that emerged from the ashes of that fateful morning.

Thank you American Legion Post 133 for keeping the memories alive of that day and to the lives lost that day.
