“The City of Prattville is excited to the honor local Gold Star families of Sgt. Carlos Pernell and Pfc. Stephen Bicknell as the Grand Marshals of the 2023 Independence Day Parade. Gold Star families are those who lost a loved one in the service of our country and Pernell and Bicknell made the ultimate sacrifice in combat for our country and the loved ones they left behind.
The Independence Day Celebration will begin with the annual 4th of July Parade at 9:00 a.m. This year’s theme is “Let Freedom Ring.”
