Elmore County National Wildlife Turkey Federation Chapter will host their FREE JAKE’s Take Aim Event on Saturday, June 10th at Fort Toulouse in Wetumpka, Alabama. This event is full of outdoor activities for youth 17 and younger that will include target shooting, clay target shooting, and shotgunning in a safe, fun environment. JAKES stands for Justice Acquiring Knowledge, Ethics and Sportsmanship. Their goal is to help pass on the tradition of responsible hunting, teach the principals of habitat management, hunting ethics, and safety. The Elmore County NWTF has been putting on this yearly tradition since 2009.

The NWTF’s JAKES Take Aim Program was made possible by Larry and Brenda Potterfield, founders of MidWayUSA.

For each child participating in the JAKES Take Aim event will get a FREE T-shirt, FREE lunch, and a FREE JAKES Country magazine with fun stories that’s focused on young readers.
