Wetumpka Public Library will be hosting their Summer Library Reading Program for 2023. The theme this year is, “All Together Now.” Registration is now OPEN for children entering grades first through sixth grade. Meetings will be held every Tuesday at 2 P.M. at the Wetumpka Civic Center beginning June 6th.
Reading logs will be handed out when you register. Please begin keeping your log on June 8th. Write the titles in your log. Prizes for top reader in each grade will be awarded at end of program. Each timed reading slip represents an hour of reading. For each hour completed, drop your reading slips in the box at the library. Library staff will draw multiple names weekly, and there will be small prizes awarded each week.
Please note: No program on Tuesday, July 4th. Program on July 11th will be at the Elmore County Museum.

- June 13th– Art with The Kelly
- June 20th– Clefworks Music
- June 27th– 4-H Program
- July 4th– Library Closed for Holiday- No program
- July 11th– Alabama Department of Archives and History. Meets at the Elmore County Museum at 112 South Main Street, two doors down from library.
- July 18th– Awards Day and Trivia Contest
PLEASE NOTE: Reading Logs are Due by July 12th.
For children entering into seventh grade through twelfth grade, NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Meetings will be held on Wednesdays at 1 P.M. beginning June 7th. Movie days and game days are planned.
