The City of Prattville and the Autauga County 2023 Adult Leadership Class invites the community to come celebrate the completion of the new dog park at Overlook Park, located at 229 Jay Street in Prattville.
The new dog park provides additional recreational opportunities and enhanced park features for both pets and residents, with the installation of new fencing, benches, a dedicated area for small and large dogs, and more.
“We are so thankful that this year’s Adult Leadership Class chose the dog park as their class project,” said Kellie Cook, Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Prattville. ” We have needed an additional dog park in our city, and we are grateful for their hard work to see this project through to fruition.”
The Leadership Class solicited donations from businesses and individuals to cover the cost of the project. The fenced area will be separated for a large dog and small dog section. A leash wall will be installed and an area with water access will be available. Benches were donated for humans to have a place to rest while their dogs play.
