Seniors that attend the Autauga County Technology Center (ACTC) who attend the Early Childhood Education Program celebrated a special signing day on Tuesday, May 2nd.

The Early Childhood Education Program is a two-year program that offers hands-on learning for students with an interest in early childhood education.  The students get real life training by working with the pre-school students from the classroom that adjoins theirs. Students also get to visit with different classrooms across the school system, including the special needs student’s classrooms, for experience with all ages and all classes.

The ceremony began with teacher Connie Rader, program coordinator. Ms. Rader presented graduating seniors with a special graduation cord to the 15 students that completed the two-year program.

Seven students signed a commitment letter to attend college to become teachers. Five students signed a letter of intent from Marbury High School – Cassie James, Carman Bishop, Jorden Cook, Ansley Lejeune, and Braelyn Spotten. Two students from Prattville High School signed their letters of intent – Ally Pyron, and Deona Petty.

In attendance to celebrate this achievement were special guests from across the education system.
